Exciting new website and brand!

Welcome to Perspectives Photography’s new website and brand.  You may have already visited my previous website as a wedding, portrait or musician client.  If so you may have noticed that things are looking a little different.  I have been working really hard over the last year or so with the extremely talented Casey at Oyster and Pearl Design and Ali at Bespoke Web Designs to bring a fresh and exciting new look that reflects my growing business.  I have to say a big thank you to both ladies without whom my exciting new venture would not be possible.

Why the change?

Anyone who knows me knows that I am passionate about my business and my clients who I serve.  My journey over the last 9 years has taken me to some amazing places and enabled me to meet some wonderfully inspiring and completely lovely couples through my work photographing weddings.  As time has moved on I have moved on alongside my clients and have been asked to shoot more and more children and family sessions which I have loved, especially since I have started a family of my own.  This has resulted in a gradual transition of my business over time as I have grown as a woman, business owner and mum.  I have spent time reflecting on what is important for me to record in each of these roles.  Over the last year or two I have been developing two new areas to the business (boudoir and commercial lifestyle) and further exploring my love of photographing children and families and musicians.

The boudoir shoots

The boudoir shoots were born out of my love of photographing women.  It became apparent that many camera shy women, like me, would love to have some beautiful feminine arty photographs of themselves – a million miles away from garage glamour. Something sophisticated, beautiful and timeless. Find out more about boudoir here.

Commercial lifestyle photography

The commercial lifestyle photography has also been born out of my own experience of being a small independent business.  What sets us apart from the big corporations?  Being personal – giving people a window into your business to show the care and attention to detail that you give to your work.  If your products are hand made – show they are handmade – show the process, the people, the materials and the place.  This adds enormous value to your business.  View a couple of my favourite recent commercial shoots here.

Children and families:

The children and families photography will always be close to my heart particularly now I am a Mum myself.  I have been exploring what I as a Mum would like to record  – both in terms of beautiful artistic portraits as well as recording relationships between people, places and significant things that make up our childhood memories. Find out more about our children and families portrait sessions here.

Musician shoots:

My musician shoots will always be a part of my work as they are just fantastic opportunities to capture artists creatively and work with some exciting new talent and lighting set ups!  Find out more here about our musicians shoots.

I will be blogging in more detail about each of these in future posts.  I will also be using the blog to write about my experiences a photographer on various shoots, let you know about any special events/ offers or mini sessions coming up and showcase some of my favourite work. In the meantime there is a lot of information on the website or if you can’t find what you’re looking for then give me a shout!

So existing clients please don’t be alarmed –  It’s still me! To my new clients a very big welcome to the business … I look forward to developing some beautiful artwork with you!
