I write this blog from the very beautiful Hotel, The Pig in Gittisham. This is where I do my big sky thinking for the business. I feel it is very important to step away from the hum drum of everyday life and take some time to think about the bigger picture.
Today I sit looking across the beautiful Devonshire countryside and I have a feeling of gratitude towards my lovely clients who allow me to follow my passion in creating beautiful imagery. I am grateful for a fantastic 2017 which saw the launch of my women’s fine art portraiture sessions and the opportunity to photograph some fantastic local businesses with my commercial shoots. This, alongside documenting my client’s families with my lifestyle family and children photo shoots something very close to my heart. I am lucky to do what I love for a living. So I thank you for allowing me to do that!
My new years resolution is to share a bit more about the exciting projects that I have been working on. I did consider putting together my favourite pictures of 2017 but I decided that I couldn’t possibly narrow them down to one single blog. Instead I aim to blog about my favourite projects that I have been involved in and give each the time and space they deserve.
So today I just wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for entrusting me to capture you and your families and businesses. I am genuinely grateful. I am looking forward to the many exciting projects that I have lined up for 2018… I have a sneaky feeling it’s going to be a good one!
If you want to keep me in check and make sure I am living up to my new year’s resolution you can follow my blog here www.perspectivesphotography/blog or you can find me on my facebook page or on Instagram at Perspectivesdev. Feel free to give me a gentle nudge if things go quiet!

Oh and if you get a chance to visit the glorious ‘The Pig’ Hotel at Gittisham… it’s definitely worth a trip! The ambiance is beautifully calm and you come away feeling like you’ve had a spa treatment… even if you have just had a coffee (or a scrummy stone baked pizza in the derelict chic folly!)
Happy New Year to all and hope to see you in 2018!
